Brighton Dance Festival is happy to welcome our newest staff member, Kelly Waltz, who will fill the role of "Programs Coordinator" effective immediately. Kelly will help with the day-to-day operations at BDF, including developing new programs, community outreach, and festival scheduling. A little more about Kelly:
Kelly Waltz is a recent graduate of Eastern Michigan University with a B.S. in Dance Studio Management. With over 20 years of dancing experience, she has been formally trained in multiple styles of dance including ballet, modern, contemporary, jazz, and hip hop. She is a founding member of the professional dance company Pure Existence under the artistic direction of Jodie Randolph, and is currently the manager of Dance Steps Studio, Inc's Tecumseh location. She has been teaching dance for over five years, and has received multiple choreography awards and nominations for her work. Kelly has trained and performed with many artists including Wendi Dubois, Holly Hobbs, Jillian Hopper, Sherry Jerome-Wilkinson, Kathy King, Joanna McNamara, Jodie Randolph, Barbara Selinger, Phil Simmons, and Laurie Stoianowski.
