Her latest work, Evanescence, performed by students in the Eastern Michigan University Department of Music and Dance, is inspired by a personal struggle she faced after dancing again post-spinal surgery:
"Evanescence began as an idea about what it's like to have and to lose your passion for something dear to you as I began dancing again after spinal surgery."
Since beginning rehearsals about a year ago, Evanescence has performed in many informal concerts, the 63rd Annual Faculty and Guest Artist concert at Eastern Michigan University, the 2014 Senior Project concert at Eastern Michigan University, the 2015 American College Dance Association and summer festivals around the state of Michigan. "I could not thank these dancers enough for supporting me and sharing their passion, and I hope to continue to work with them."
