"Beginning with a humorous mathematician announcing that the topic to be discussed is "calculus" and "limits", the dancers perform material- sometimes apart, sometimes close- exploring this theorem. Juxtaposed within the idea of limits and "two things never actually touching", Hoskins and Post appear clearly as moving bodies, not numbers, and display situations only possible with the contact and support of another."
A little more about Sean and Jessica:
Sean and Jessica began creating work together a couple years ago in Ann Arbor / Detroit. Their interests in partnering and collaboration inspire dances with nuanced interactions, unique movement material, and clever composition that hints at each dance's theme from different viewpoints.
Both Jessica and Sean hold MFA degrees from the University of Michigan, and they are active as performers, choreographers and teachers in the area. Jessica teaches at Hillsdale College and Eastern Michigan University. Her creative work focuses on collaboration and interdisciplinary projects. Sean works at Wayne State and at UM. He continues to choreograph with collaborators and students, create dances for the camera, and investigate at the intersections of dance and technology.
